Introduction to Ayurveda Theory

Introduction Ayurvedic Nutrition Workshop Healing with Ayurveda (Theory 3 hours long)

Presented by Rana Haddadin, M.S. Human Nutrition, Ayurvedic Practitioner

Many of us have experimented with no-carb diets, high protein diets, juice cleanses, pre-cooked meals, and frozen dinners. The list of fad diets and quick fix weight solutions is endless. And while some of these programs do deliver on their promise of trimmer waistlines or “convenient” meal planning to suit our hectic schedules, in the long run they all have one thing in common: they are pushing our bodies and brains towards a permanent state of imbalance

Our bodies speak to us to let us know when this is happening and it’s likely that you experience a range of mild, moderate or even severe conditions as a result. Some of these symptoms are: bloating, constipation, lethargy, anxiety, fear, IBS (irritable bowel syndrome), and many more.

We have come to accept a number of these symptoms as part of our ‘’’normal’’ bodily experience, but they are in fact a sign of imbalances which need addressing.

Through an Ayurvedic approach, we can begin to reverse the damage caused by such commonly accepted symptoms. Every meal you eat becomes an opportunity to help your body heal, every ingredient becomes an opportunity to help your system cleanse itself, and every step in the right direction will take you closer to a state of balance.

In this workshop, you will learn the following:

● How natural food can make you sharper, more productive and reduce your stress levels.

● How and why natural food alleviates chronic pain and disease.

● How to combine different foods and spices to ease your digestion, lose excess weight and curb any cravings.

● Important seasonal and daily practices that keep our bodies and mind in balance and harmony with Nature.
